Ingredients
Scale
For the Crispy Chicken Wings:
- 2 lbs chicken wings (about 12–18 wings, fresh or thawed)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp baking powder (aluminum-free)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
Optional Sauces for Coating:
- ½ cup buffalo wing sauce
- ½ cup barbecue sauce
- ½ cup teriyaki sauce
- ½ cup honey garlic sauce
Instructions
- Pat the chicken wings thoroughly dry with paper towels.
- Toss the wings with olive oil, then coat evenly with baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
- Arrange wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding.
- Air fry for 20 minutes, flip the wings, then cook for another 15-20 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
- If using a sauce, toss the cooked wings in a clean bowl with your preferred sauce.
- For extra crispy sauced wings, return them to the air fryer for 2-3 more minutes at 400°F (200°C).
- Serve immediately with your favorite dips and sides.
Notes
For a unique twist, try different dry rubs, marinades, or glaze options. Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes to restore crispiness.
