- 1.25 lbs Ground Beef
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 Large Yellow Onion
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 cup Uncooked Long Grain Rice
- 2 cups Beef Broth
- 1 (10.75 oz) can Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- ¾ teaspoon Sea Salt
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
- 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Brown ground beef in oil, drain excess grease.
- Sauté onion and garlic in the same skillet.
- Add rice, beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer briefly.
- Pour mixture into baking dish, top with cheese.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and cheese is melted and golden brown. Let cool slightly and serve.
Notes
Add chili spices and peppers for Southwestern flavor. Incorporate vegetables for variety. Use cream of tomato soup for a creamy tomato twist.
