Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 pounds)
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat the Pan: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil and butter. Allow it to heat until shimmering.
- Cook the Chicken: Place the seasoned chicken in the skillet. Cook for 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Rest the Chicken: Remove from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes to retain juiciness.
- Serve: Slice, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve with lemon wedges for added zest.
Notes
For extra heat, increase the Cajun seasoning or add cayenne pepper. Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables for a complete meal!
