- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 4 tablespoons Butter
- 4 cloves Garlic
- ½ teaspoon Sea Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 lb Rotini Pasta
- 4 cups Milk
- ¼ cup All-Purpose Flour
- 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Instructions
- Brown beef in butter, drain excess grease.
- Add garlic, salt, and pepper to beef. Sauté briefly.
- Cook pasta al dente, drain.
- Make a roux with butter and flour, whisk in milk until thickened.
- Stir in cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
- Layer pasta, cheese sauce, and beef mixture in a baking dish. Top with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly. Let cool slightly and serve.
Notes
Use pepper jack cheese for a spicy kick. Add broccoli for a classic twist. Incorporate mushrooms for earthy flavor. Make ahead of time for convenience.
