- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- ½ cup Yellow Onion
- 2 cloves Garlic
- ½ teaspoon Sea Salt
- ¼ teaspoon White Pepper
- 8 oz Angel Hair Pasta
- 4 cups Milk
- ¼ cup All-Purpose Flour
- ½ cup Heavy Cream
- ½ cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- ¼ teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
- 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cook pasta al dente, drain.
- Brown beef in oil, drain excess grease.
- Sauté onion and garlic in the same skillet. Season with salt and pepper.
- Make a roux with butter and flour, whisk in milk until thickened. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and nutmeg. Season with salt and pepper.
- Layer pasta, cream sauce, and beef in the baking dish. Top with mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly. Let cool slightly and serve.
Notes
Add mushrooms and spinach for a vegetable twist. Use garlic and herbs for extra flavor. Substitute Parmesan with Swiss cheese for a different cheese profile.
