Bread
- 1 loaf Challah Bread Cut into 1-inch cubes.
Egg Mixture
- 6 large Eggs
- 2 cups Whole Milk Can substitute with non-dairy milk.
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar Adjust based on sweetness preference.
- 1 tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg A pinch is sufficient.
- 1 tablespoon Pure Vanilla Extract
Greasing
- 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Melted, for greasing the slow cooker.
Toppings
- Fresh Fruits Berries, bananas, or sliced apples.

InstructionsÂ
- Cut the challah bread into 1-inch cubes and set aside in a large mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture over the cubed bread and gently fold to coat. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
- Grease the slow cooker with melted butter, then transfer the bread mixture into the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, until the center is set and edges are golden brown.
- Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving. Drizzle with maple syrup and top with fresh fruits.
