- 1.5 lbs Ground Beef
- 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- 1 large Yellow Onion
- 2 cloves Garlic
- ¼ cup All-Purpose Flour
- 4 cups Beef Broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme
- ¾ teaspoon Sea Salt
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
- 3 lbs Yukon Gold Potatoes
- ½ cup Whole Milk
- ¼ cup Butter
- ½ teaspoon Sea Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
Instructions
- Boil potatoes until tender, drain, and mash with milk, butter, salt, and pepper.
- Brown ground beef in oil, drain excess grease.
- Sauté onion and garlic in the same skillet.
- Sprinkle flour, cook briefly, and gradually whisk in beef broth.
- Add Worcestershire sauce and thyme. Simmer until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve gravy over mashed potatoes.
Notes
Add mushrooms, garlic, and herbs for variations. Top with cheese for extra richness. Serve with steamed vegetables or salad.
