  • For Decorating:
  • Mini chocolate chips or candy eyes (for eyes & mouth)
  • Orange sprinkles or fondant (for noses)
  • Mini candy canes or pretzel sticks (for arms)
  • Red or black decorating gel (for scarves or buttons, optional)

Instructions

  1. Bake the Cupcakes: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and oil together until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients alternately with milk until just combined.
  5. Divide batter evenly among muffin cups, filling ¾ full.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Let cool completely before decorating.
  8. Prepare the Buttercream Frosting: Beat butter until fluffy. Gradually mix in powdered sugar, alternating with milk, until smooth. Stir in vanilla extract.
  9. Decorate the Snowmen: Frost each cupcake with a mound of buttercream.
  10. Use mini chocolate chips or candy eyes for eyes and mouth.
  11. Place an orange sprinkle or fondant piece as the nose.
  12. Insert mini candy canes or pretzel sticks for arms.
  13. Add decorating gel for scarves or buttons if desired.
  14. Let set for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added texture, sprinkle shredded coconut over the frosting to resemble snow. Store cupcakes in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerate for up to 4 days.
