Instructions
- Start by preparing the shrimp. If using frozen shrimp, thaw completely and pat dry with paper towels.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, beat the egg until frothy.
- In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
- Coat each shrimp in the seasoned flour, then dip in the beaten egg, and finally coat in the panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet or deep fryer to about 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha for the Bang Bang sauce.
- Toss the fried shrimp in the Bang Bang sauce until evenly coated.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
- Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
