Instructions
 

  • Start by preparing the shrimp. If using frozen shrimp, thaw completely and pat dry with paper towels.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and pepper.
  • In another bowl, beat the egg until frothy.
  • In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
  • Coat each shrimp in the seasoned flour, then dip in the beaten egg, and finally coat in the panko breadcrumbs.
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet or deep fryer to about 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry the shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha for the Bang Bang sauce.
  • Toss the fried shrimp in the Bang Bang sauce until evenly coated.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
  • Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven to restore crispiness.
