Instructions
Start by preparing the shrimp. If using frozen shrimp, thaw completely and pat dry with paper towels.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and pepper.
In another bowl, beat the egg until frothy.
In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.
Coat each shrimp in the seasoned flour, then dip in the beaten egg, and finally coat in the panko breadcrumbs.
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet or deep fryer to about 350°F (175°C).
Fry the shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha for the Bang Bang sauce.
Toss the fried shrimp in the Bang Bang sauce until evenly coated.
Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven to restore crispiness.
