- 4 cups Broccoli florets Chopped and blanched
- 2 cups Shredded sharp cheddar cheese Reserve 1/2 cup for topping
- 1 can Cream of mushroom soup About 10.5 ounces
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
- 1 medium Onion Finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
- 2 tablespoons Butter Melted, for greasing
- 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs For topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blanch the broccoli florets in boiling water for about 3 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, mayonnaise, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Fold in the blanched broccoli and 1 ½ cups of cheddar cheese.
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with melted butter.
- Spread the broccoli mixture evenly in the baking dish.
- Top with reserved cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and breadcrumbs are golden.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
