Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Blanch the broccoli florets in boiling water for about 3 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath.
In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, mayonnaise, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Fold in the blanched broccoli and 1 ½ cups of cheddar cheese.
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with melted butter.
Spread the broccoli mixture evenly in the baking dish.
Top with reserved cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and breadcrumbs are golden.
Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
