  • 4 cups Broccoli florets Chopped and blanched
  • 2 cups Shredded sharp cheddar cheese Reserve 1/2 cup for topping
  • 1 can Cream of mushroom soup About 10.5 ounces
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 medium Onion Finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Melted, for greasing
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs For topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Blanch the broccoli florets in boiling water for about 3 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, mayonnaise, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Fold in the blanched broccoli and 1 ½ cups of cheddar cheese.
  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with melted butter.
  • Spread the broccoli mixture evenly in the baking dish.
  • Top with reserved cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and breadcrumbs are golden.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For variations, try different cheeses or add cooked chicken for extra protein.
