Instructions
Wash and core the apples, then cut them into wedges about 1/2 inch thick.
In a mixing bowl, combine apple wedges with brown sugar and cinnamon. Toss gently and let sit for 10 minutes.
Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray and place the apple wedges in a single layer.
Cook in the air fryer for 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
While the apples are cooking, whip the heavy cream in a chilled bowl until it thickens.
Add powdered sugar and vanilla bean paste to the whipped cream and continue whipping until soft peaks form.
Remove the apple wedges from the air fryer and let them cool for a couple of minutes.
Serve the warm apple wedges with the whipped cream dipping sauce.
Notes
For variations, consider adding nutmeg, caramel drizzle, or using different fruits.
