Chicken Wings

  • 2 pounds chicken wings Choose fresh or thawed wings; ensure they are trimmed and cleaned.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Helps the skin become crispy.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds aromatic essence.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Adds subtle sweetness.
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika Provides a hint of smokiness.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Essential for flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper Adds mild heat.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder Helps achieve crispy texture.
  • 1 cup sauce or glaze Options include buffalo sauce, barbecue sauce, or honey-garlic glaze.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Separate the wings into drumettes and wingettes if whole, and pat them dry with paper towels.
  • In a large bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and baking powder. Mix well.
  • Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the seasoning mixture.
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Spread the wings in a single layer on the rack.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • Check for doneness; wings should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and be golden brown.
  • Toss the wings in your favorite sauce or serve plain.
  • Transfer to a serving platter and serve immediately with dipping sauces.
