Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion for 3-4 minutes until soft and translucent.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes, being careful not to brown it.
  • Incorporate the chopped cabbage and stir continuously for about 5-7 minutes until it wilts.
  • Add broccoli florets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until tender but still crisp.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the cooked sausage, heavy cream, shredded cheese, salt, and pepper.
  • Fold the vegetable mixture into the sausage and cheese mixture until evenly combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish and press down lightly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden and bubbly.
  • Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Consider adding different types of cheese or vegetables for variations. This dish can also be made vegetarian by substituting the sausage.
