  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Plain or Italian-seasoned for added flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Adds a nutty and salty flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Parsley Adds color and a refreshing herbal note.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Imparts robust flavor.
  • 1 large Egg Serves as a binding agent.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning Brings classic Italian flavor.

Sauce Ingredients

  • 2 cups Marinara Sauce Choose your favorite store-bought or homemade.
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Creates a gooey, cheesy finish.
  • for garnish Fresh Basil Leaves Adds aroma and a beautiful touch.

Instructions
 

  • 1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  • 3. Portion out the mixture and roll into balls about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • 4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F or 75°C).
  • 5. While baking, heat marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • 6. In a baking dish, pour a layer of marinara sauce, place meatballs on top, and pour more sauce over them. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
  • 7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • 8. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.

Notes

These meatballs can be made ahead of time and frozen for later use. Serve with spaghetti, in a sub, or as an appetizer.
