Instructions
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent.
Add the minced garlic and chopped bell pepper to the skillet. Sauté for another 2-3 minutes until the bell pepper softens.
Increase the heat slightly and add the ground chicken. Cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
Add the ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Reduce heat to low and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
Prepare the hamburger buns, toasting them if desired.
Scoop the mixture onto the bottom half of each bun. Add optional toppings if desired.
Place the top half of the bun on each and serve immediately.
