  • 4 cups Fresh broccoli florets Cut into bite-sized pieces for easy eating.
  • 1 cup Red or purple grapes Halved for sweetness and juiciness.
  • 1 cup Sunflower seeds Roasted and unsalted for nutty flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Shredded sharp cheddar cheese Adds creamy richness and sharp tang.
  • 1/2 cup Red onion Finely chopped for a slight bite.
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise Base for the creamy dressing.
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar Brings acidity to balance the richness.
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar Adds a touch of sweetness.
  • Salt and pepper To taste for seasoning.

Instructions
 

  • Wash the broccoli florets under cold water and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  • Rinse the grapes, pat dry, and slice each grape in half.
  • Finely chop the red onion. Soak in cold water for 10 minutes if a milder flavor is desired.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine broccoli, grapes, onion, cheddar cheese, and sunflower seeds. Mix gently.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and sugar until smooth.
  • Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and fold gently until coated.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust as needed.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.
  • Stir before serving and enjoy!

Notes

This salad can be made ahead of time and tastes even better after chilling. Store in an airtight container for 3 to 5 days.
