Instructions
Wash the broccoli florets under cold water and cut into bite-sized pieces.
Rinse the grapes, pat dry, and slice each grape in half.
Finely chop the red onion. Soak in cold water for 10 minutes if a milder flavor is desired.
In a large mixing bowl, combine broccoli, grapes, onion, cheddar cheese, and sunflower seeds. Mix gently.
In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and sugar until smooth.
Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture and fold gently until coated.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust as needed.
Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes
This salad can be made ahead of time and tastes even better after chilling. Store in an airtight container for 3 to 5 days.
