Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients and ensure cream cheese is softened.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until smooth.
  • Add garlic powder and dried parsley. Mix until evenly distributed.
  • If using, fold in dried cranberries gently.
  • Shape the mixture into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • Prepare the coating by placing chopped nuts on a plate.
  • After chilling, unwrap the cheese ball and roll it in the chopped nuts.
  • Place on a serving platter and let sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with crackers, vegetable sticks, or baguette slices.

Notes

This cheese ball can be made up to two days in advance. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days.
