Meatloaf Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground Beef 80% lean to 20% fat blend for juiciness.
  • 2 large Onions Thinly sliced and caramelized.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Plain or seasoned.
  • 2 large Eggs For binding.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese For mixing and topping.
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley Chopped.
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce For flavor depth.
  • to taste Salt For seasoning.
  • to taste Black Pepper Freshly ground.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Caramelize the onions in a skillet over medium heat for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Fold in the cooled caramelized onions and parsley.
  • Add half of the shredded cheese to the mixture and mix gently.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  • Bake for about 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  • Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For variations, consider adding bell peppers or mushrooms, or using ground turkey instead of beef.
