  • 2 large Eggs Fresh eggs for the custard mixture.
  • 1/2 cup Milk Whole milk preferred for creaminess.

  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Adds warmth and depth.
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated Sugar Balances flavors and enhances caramelization.
  • 1 tablespoon Butter For cooking the toast; use unsalted.

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Soak each slice of bread in the custard mixture for about 30 seconds on each side.
  • Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add butter to coat the bottom.
  • Cook the soaked bread slices for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Transfer cooked French toast to a warm plate and cover with foil while cooking remaining slices.
  • Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
