Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Stir until fully combined.
  • Add milk and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Carefully pour boiling water over the batter without stirring.
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the top is set and slightly crackled.
  • Allow to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
  • Scoop out and serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.

Notes
