Instructions
 

  • Gather all your ingredients and measure them out.
  • In a large pot over medium heat, add olive oil and heat until shimmering.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in chicken broth and bring to a gentle boil.
  • Add orzo pasta and cook for 8-10 minutes until al dente, stirring occasionally.
  • When orzo has 3 minutes left, add fresh broccoli florets to the pot.
  • Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream.
  • Add freshly grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Remove from heat and let sit for a minute to thicken.
  • Serve warm, garnished with additional Parmesan if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat gently on the stove.
