Instructions
Gather all your ingredients and measure them out.
In a large pot over medium heat, add olive oil and heat until shimmering.
Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth and bring to a gentle boil.
Add orzo pasta and cook for 8-10 minutes until al dente, stirring occasionally.
When orzo has 3 minutes left, add fresh broccoli florets to the pot.
Reduce heat to low and stir in heavy cream.
Add freshly grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Remove from heat and let sit for a minute to thicken.
Serve warm, garnished with additional Parmesan if desired.
