Pudding Base

  • 4 cups Whole Milk
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Whipped to soft peaks
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 1 pinch Salt

Garnish

Instructions
 

  • Slice the ripe bananas and strawberries evenly, ensuring they are ready to layer in the pudding.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the granulated sugar, flour, and salt. Whisk thoroughly to eliminate any lumps.
  • Gradually add the milk to the dry ingredients while continuously whisking until well combined.
  • Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens and bubbles form around the edges.
  • Once it reaches a gentle boil, reduce the heat to low and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the unsalted butter until melted and fully incorporated.
  • Let the pudding cool slightly at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
  • Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl until soft peaks form, then gently fold it into the cooled pudding mixture.
  • In a serving dish, layer the sliced bananas and strawberries with the pudding mixture, finishing with a layer of pudding on top.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  • Before serving, garnish with additional sliced strawberries and fresh mint if desired.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy!
