Shrimp

Coating

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour Foundation for the crispy coating.
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs Lighter and crispier than regular breadcrumbs.

  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder Adds depth to the flavor profile.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Essential for enhancing natural flavors.

Bang Bang Sauce

  • ½ cup Mayonnaise Base for the bang bang sauce.
  • ¼ cup Sweet chili sauce Introduces sweetness and mild heat.
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce Adds a spicy kick.
  • 2 Green onions, finely chopped For garnish.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until well mixed.
  • Prepare another bowl with panko breadcrumbs.
  • Dip each shrimp into the flour mixture, ensuring it is fully coated.
  • Next, dip the floured shrimp into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess egg to drip off.
  • Roll the shrimp in the panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to ensure a good coating.
  • Arrange the coated shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook the shrimp in the air fryer for about 8-10 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  • While the shrimp are cooking, prepare the bang bang sauce by whisking together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha in a small bowl.
  • Once the shrimp are cooked, carefully remove them from the air fryer and place them on a serving platter.
  • Drizzle the bang bang sauce over the crispy shrimp, or serve it on the side for dipping. Garnish with chopped green onions.
  • Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for a few minutes to regain crispiness.
