Ingredients
  

Wonton Wrappers

  • 20-30 pieces Wonton Wrappers Standard 3-inch square wrappers work best.

Cooking Oil

  • 2-3 cups Vegetable Oil Neutral oil with a high smoke point.

Salt

  • 1-2 teaspoons Salt Adjust to taste for seasoning.

Optional Seasonings

  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Optional for added flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Optional for added flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Flakes Optional for added flavor.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients including wonton wrappers, cooking oil, and seasonings.
  • Heat the oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat until it reaches about 350°F (175°C).
  • Cut the wonton wrappers into strips, about 1-inch wide.
  • Carefully add a few wonton strips to the hot oil and fry for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove the fried wonton strips with a slotted spoon and transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  • While still hot, season the strips with salt and any optional seasonings.
  • Repeat the frying process with the remaining wonton strips.
  • Let the strips cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces or as a garnish for salads and soups.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2-3 days.
