Instructions
 

  • Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into 1-inch cubes and place them in the crockpot.
  • Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt over the sweet potatoes.
  • Cut the butter into small chunks and distribute evenly over the sweet potatoes.
  • Stir gently to combine all ingredients.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours until tender.
  • About 10-15 minutes before serving, sprinkle mini marshmallows on top and cover to let them melt.
  • Stir to combine melted marshmallows with sweet potatoes and serve warm.

Notes

Consider adding nuts or citrus zest for variations. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
