Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare a 9x13 inch baking pan by greasing it lightly with butter or lining it with parchment paper.
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat.
Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar to the melted butter, stirring until well combined.
Allow the mixture to cool slightly for about 5 minutes.
Crack the eggs into a separate bowl, beating them lightly before adding to the butter and sugar mixture.
Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, folding gently with a spatula until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped peanut butter cups.
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before lifting them out and slicing.
Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally drizzled with chocolate or served with ice cream.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days or refrigerate for longer storage.
