  • 200 grams Mortadella Sliced thickly for a satisfying bite.
  • 2 slices Artisan Bread Choose ciabatta or focaccia, about 1 inch thick each.
  • 1 cup Fresh Greens Arugula or spinach for a peppery flavor.
  • 3-4 slices Pickles Dill or bread-and-butter varieties for tanginess.
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard Dijon or whole grain for a zesty kick.
  • 1 teaspoon Olive Oil Extra virgin, for richness.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Herbs Basil or parsley, finely chopped.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all your ingredients: mortadella, artisan bread, fresh greens, pickles, mustard, olive oil, and fresh herbs.
  • Slice your artisan bread into two thick slices, about 1 inch each.
  • Cut the mortadella into thick slices, about 4-5 slices per sandwich.
  • Spread mustard on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Layer the mortadella on one slice of the bread.
  • Add a handful of fresh greens on top of the mortadella.
  • Arrange pickles on top of the greens.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the fillings.
  • Sprinkle fresh herbs over the top.
  • Close the sandwich with the second slice of bread, mustard side down.
  • Grill the sandwich in a panini press or on a skillet over medium heat until golden brown.
  • Let it cool slightly before slicing in half.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Consider adding jalapeños for a spicy kick or cheese for extra creaminess.
