Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir until well combined.
In another bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, and eggs until smooth.
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Fold in chopped pecans.
Transfer the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
Mix together brown sugar and chopped pecans for the topping, and sprinkle it over the batter.
Pour hot water gently over the entire dish.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
Let it cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
