Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla and almond extracts.
Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden. Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Prepare icing by mixing powdered sugar with water or milk until smooth. Decorate cookies with icing and sprinkles.
Notes
Chill the dough for 30 minutes if too sticky. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to one week.
