  • 1 cup Eggnog Infuses the bread with flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Enhances overall flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Chopped nuts (optional) Adds texture and flavor.

For Dusting

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Pour in the eggnog and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
  • If using nuts, fold them into the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.

Notes

Store leftover bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
