Instructions
Start by preparing your ingredients. Rinse the mixed greens, cucumber, tomatoes, bell pepper, radishes, mint, and parsley under cold water to remove any dirt or pesticides. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
Chop the mixed greens, cucumber, tomatoes, bell pepper, and radishes into bite-sized pieces. Place these chopped ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Thinly slice the red onion and add it to the bowl with the other vegetables.
Chop the mint and parsley leaves and add them to the mixing bowl.
In a separate small bowl, prepare the dressing by combining the olive oil, lemon juice, sumac, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
Pour the dressing over the vegetable mixture in the large bowl. Toss gently to ensure that all the ingredients are evenly coated.
Add the toasted pita bread pieces to the salad and gently fold them in. Serve immediately.
Notes
Fattoush Salad is best enjoyed fresh. If preparing in advance, keep the dressing and pita separate until serving.
