  • 2 cups Fresh Cranberries Ensure they are fresh and not dried.
  • 1 small Red Onion Finely diced.
  • 1 unit Jalapeño Pepper Finely chopped, adjust based on heat preference.
  • 1 handful Cilantro Roughly chopped.
  • 1 unit Lime Juice Juice of one lime.
  • 1 tablespoon Honey Adds sweetness to balance tartness.
  • 1 pinch Salt To taste.

Instructions
 

  • Rinse the fresh cranberries under cold water and discard any soft or blemished ones.
  • Pulse the rinsed cranberries in a food processor until coarsely chopped.
  • Add the finely diced red onion to the food processor with the cranberries.
  • Chop the jalapeño pepper finely and add it to the mixture in the food processor.
  • Add the roughly chopped cilantro to the food processor.
  • Juice the lime and add the juice to the mixture.
  • Add the honey and a pinch of salt to taste.
  • Pulse the mixture until well combined, ensuring it remains chunky.
  • Transfer the salsa to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  • Before serving, stir gently and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • Serve with tortilla chips, grilled chicken, or as a topping for various dishes.

Notes

This salsa can last up to five days in the refrigerator. It often tastes even better after a day or two as the flavors meld.
