Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking Sheet
  • Wire Rack
  • Saucepan

Ingredients

Chicken Wings

  • 2 pounds chicken wings Look for fresh, high-quality wings that are plump and meaty for the best texture and flavor.

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter This forms the base of the sauce, providing richness and helping the garlic flavor shine through.
  • 6 cloves garlic Fresh garlic is essential for that robust flavor. Mince or finely chop the cloves to release their aromatic oils.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Enhances the flavors of the wings and the garlic butter sauce.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Adds a subtle heat and complexity to the dish.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika This adds a hint of smokiness and contributes to the wings' beautiful color.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley Chopped parsley adds a pop of color and freshness as a garnish.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice A splash of lemon juice can brighten the flavors and balance the richness of the butter.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Toss the wings until they are evenly coated with the seasonings.
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Spread the seasoned wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
  • Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  • While the wings are baking, prepare the garlic butter sauce. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the minced garlic and stir. Cook for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the garlic butter sauce over the wings and toss until they are well coated.
  • If desired, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to the wings and toss again.
  • Arrange the wings on a serving platter and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

Feel free to adjust the garlic amount based on your preference—more garlic can enhance the flavor even further.
