Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
Add granulated sugar and brown sugar to the mashed bananas, mixing until well combined.
Incorporate the melted unsalted butter into the banana mixture and stir until uniform.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
While baking, prepare the brown butter frosting by melting unsalted butter in a saucepan until golden brown.
In a mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar, vanilla bean paste, and milk. Gradually add brown butter, whisking until smooth.
Once brownies are cooled, spread the frosting generously over the top.
Let the brownies set for 15-20 minutes before cutting into squares.
Notes
For variations, consider adding nuts, chocolate chips, or spices like cinnamon.
