  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar Sifted before use to avoid lumps.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Flavoring Enhances frosting flavor.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  • Mash the ripe bananas until smooth, about 1 ½ to 2 cups.
  • Cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Mix in the mashed bananas until well combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to banana mixture, alternating with milk.
  • Pour batter into prepared pans and smooth the tops.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
  • Prepare frosting by beating cream cheese and butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until incorporated.
  • Add milk or cream to achieve desired frosting consistency, then mix in vanilla.
  • Once cakes are cooled, frost the top of one layer, place the second layer on top, and frost the top and sides.
  • Garnish with banana slices or chopped nuts if desired.
  • Slice and serve to enjoy!

Notes

For variations, consider adding nuts, spices, or chocolate to the batter. Adjust frosting sweetness as desired.
