Equipment

  • Medium Saucepan
  • Mixing Bowl
  • 9x13-inch Baking Pan
  • Spatula

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter Melted and browned for flavor.
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar Packed for moisture and sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar Balances the sweetness.
  • 1 cup Pumpkin Puree Adds moisture and flavor.
  • 2 large Eggs Bind the ingredients together.
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour Provides structure.
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder For leavening.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Enhances flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Adds warmth.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg Adds aromatic quality.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Ginger Provides subtle warmth.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  • Melt the unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until it turns a deep golden color and has a nutty aroma, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Remove the brown butter from heat and let it cool slightly. In a large mixing bowl, combine the brown butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar, mixing until well combined.
  • Add the pumpkin puree and mix until smooth. Then, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares or rectangles to serve.

Notes

For variations, consider adding nuts, chocolate chips, or a cream cheese frosting swirl. Serve with warm beverages for a cozy treat.
