Homemade Brown Butter Pumpkin Blondies for Cozy Nights
These rich and chewy blondies combine the nutty essence of brown butter with the delightful flavor of pumpkin, creating a cozy dessert perfect for chilly evenings.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
Melt the unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until it turns a deep golden color and has a nutty aroma, about 5-7 minutes.
Remove the brown butter from heat and let it cool slightly. In a large mixing bowl, combine the brown butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar, mixing until well combined.
Add the pumpkin puree and mix until smooth. Then, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares or rectangles to serve.
Notes
For variations, consider adding nuts, chocolate chips, or a cream cheese frosting swirl. Serve with warm beverages for a cozy treat.
