Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Russet Potatoes Peeled and diced into small cubes.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Use a cheese that melts well, like cheddar or mozzarella.
  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour Helps bind the mixture.
  • 2-3 pieces Green Onions Chopped.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust to taste.
  • as needed spray Cooking Spray For air fryer basket.

Instructions
 

  • Peel and dice the russet potatoes into small, even cubes.
  • Place the diced potatoes into a large pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for 10-15 minutes until fork-tender.
  • Drain the potatoes and let them cool for a few minutes.
  • Transfer the cooled potatoes to a mixing bowl and mash until smooth.
  • Add shredded cheese, chopped green onions, flour, salt, and pepper to the mashed potatoes. Mix until well combined.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Roll the potato mixture into bite-sized balls and flatten slightly to form tater tots.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the tater tots in a single layer.
  • Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the air fryer and let cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
  • Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauces!

Notes

For variations, consider adding jalapeños for spice or mixing in different cheeses.
