  • 2 cups Old-Fashioned Oats Provides a chewy texture and is a wholesome source of fiber.
  • ½ cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder Imparts rich chocolate flavor.
  • ½ cup Honey or Maple Syrup Natural sweetener that binds ingredients together.
  • ½ cup Nut Butter Adds creaminess and healthy fats.
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt Balances sweetness and enhances flavor.
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips Provides bursts of melted chocolate.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence Optional, enhances flavor.

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Prepare an 8x8 inch baking dish by lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the old-fashioned oats and unsweetened cocoa powder.
  • In another bowl, mix together the honey or maple syrup, nut butter, and salt until smooth.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until fully coated.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and press evenly.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until edges pull away and top looks set.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift out and cool completely on a wire rack.
  • Once cooled, cut into squares or rectangles and store in an airtight container.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Can be frozen for up to three months.
