Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare an 8x8 inch baking dish by lining it with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the old-fashioned oats and unsweetened cocoa powder.
In another bowl, mix together the honey or maple syrup, nut butter, and salt until smooth.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until fully coated.
Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and press evenly.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until edges pull away and top looks set.
Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift out and cool completely on a wire rack.
Once cooled, cut into squares or rectangles and store in an airtight container.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Can be frozen for up to three months.
