Instructions
Harvest fresh dandelion flowers on a dry, sunny day, ensuring they are free from pesticides.
In a glass jar, add dandelion flowers and cover with olive oil. Seal and place in a sunny spot for 1-2 weeks, shaking occasionally.
Strain the oil using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, pressing down on the flowers to extract as much oil as possible.
In a double boiler, combine the strained oil and beeswax, heating gently until melted and combined.
Remove from heat and stir in essential oils if desired.
Pour the mixture into clean jars or tins, leaving space at the top for expansion as it cools.
Allow the salve to cool completely before securing the lids. Store in a cool, dry place.
