Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Dandelion Flowers Fresh or dried, sourced from a chemical-free area.
  • 1 cup Olive Oil Base oil for the salve.
  • 1/4 cup Beeswax Pellets Acts as a thickening agent.

Optional Ingredients

  • 10-15 drops Essential Oils Lavender or tea tree oil for fragrance and benefits.
  • 1 teaspoon Vitamin E Oil Optional, for added nourishment.

Instructions
 

  • Harvest fresh dandelion flowers on a dry, sunny day, ensuring they are free from pesticides.
  • In a glass jar, add dandelion flowers and cover with olive oil. Seal and place in a sunny spot for 1-2 weeks, shaking occasionally.
  • Strain the oil using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, pressing down on the flowers to extract as much oil as possible.
  • In a double boiler, combine the strained oil and beeswax, heating gently until melted and combined.
  • Remove from heat and stir in essential oils if desired.
  • Pour the mixture into clean jars or tins, leaving space at the top for expansion as it cools.
  • Allow the salve to cool completely before securing the lids. Store in a cool, dry place.
