Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Slice the English muffins in half horizontally.
Mix olive oil with a pinch of salt and pepper, then brush onto the cut sides of each muffin half.
Place the brushed muffin halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
Spread approximately 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce over each muffin half.
Sprinkle about ¼ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce on each muffin half.
Add sliced cherry tomatoes and diced bell peppers evenly on top of the cheese.
Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top of each muffin.
Bake for about 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let cool for a minute, then garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
Serve immediately while warm.
