  • 2 large Eggs Beaten for the egg wash.
  • 2-3 cups Oil for Frying Canola or vegetable oil works well.
  • Dipping Sauce (optional) Consider marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or spicy aioli.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all your ingredients and set up three separate bowls for the flour, egg wash, and crushed Hot Cheetos.
  • In the first bowl, add ½ cup of all-purpose flour.
  • In the second bowl, crack 2 large eggs and whisk them until well combined.
  • In the third bowl, pour about 2 cups of crushed Hot Cheetos.
  • Take each mozzarella stick and roll it in the flour, ensuring it is coated evenly.
  • Dip the floured mozzarella stick into the egg wash, making sure it is completely coated.
  • Roll the egg-coated mozzarella stick in the crushed Hot Cheetos, pressing gently to ensure the coating sticks well.
  • Place the coated mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Heat 2-3 cups of oil in a deep frying pot or a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Carefully add a few mozzarella sticks to the hot oil and fry them for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove the fried mozzarella sticks from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Repeat the frying process until all mozzarella sticks are cooked.
  • Serve immediately while warm and melty, paired with your choice of dipping sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
