  • 2 cups Cooked Turkey Breast, shredded Use leftover turkey for convenience.
  • 2 cups Dried Egg Noodles
  • 1 cup Carrots, diced
  • 1 cup Celery, chopped
  • 1 medium Onion, diced Sauté until translucent.
  • 2-3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 6 cups Low-Sodium Chicken Broth Homemade broth is preferred.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme Or a few sprigs of fresh thyme.
  • 1-2 pieces Bay Leaves Remove before serving.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust to taste.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all your ingredients to streamline the cooking process.
  • In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
  • Incorporate chopped carrots and celery, cooking for about 5 minutes until softened.
  • Add shredded turkey and cook for a few minutes to absorb flavors.
  • Pour in chicken broth and bring to a gentle boil, scraping any browned bits from the pot.
  • Add egg noodles and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook according to package instructions, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Add thyme and bay leaves to the pot.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  • Remove bay leaves before serving. Serve hot, optionally garnished with fresh herbs.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a splash of lemon juice at the end. Customize with seasonal vegetables or different types of noodles.
