Matcha Latte Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons Matcha Powder Use high-quality ceremonial or premium grade matcha for best flavor.
  • 1 cup Milk Dairy or non-dairy options like almond, oat, or coconut milk work well.
  • 1-2 teaspoons Sweetener Optional; use honey, maple syrup, or agave nectar to taste.
  • 1/4 cup Hot Water Water should be heated to about 175°F (80°C), not boiling.
  • as needed Ice Cubes Optional for iced version.

Instructions
 

  • Sift the matcha powder into a bowl using a fine-mesh sieve to break up clumps.
  • Heat water to about 175°F (80°C) and pour it over the sifted matcha powder.
  • Whisk vigorously in a zigzag motion until the matcha is fully dissolved and frothy, about 30 seconds.
  • Add sweetener to the matcha mixture while whisking, adjusting to taste.
  • In a separate saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat. For a frothy latte, use a frother or whisk.
  • Slowly pour the heated milk into the matcha mixture. For iced, fill a glass with ice first, then pour matcha over the ice before adding milk.
  • Gently stir to combine the matcha and milk thoroughly. Enjoy your Matcha Latte!
