Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, onion powder, oregano, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until just combined.
Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs in batches and brown on all sides for about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add crushed tomatoes, sugar, and dried basil. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer.
