Instructions
Start by crushing the chocolate cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or a rolling pin.
Mix the crushed cookies with unsweetened cocoa powder.
Melt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter and pour it over the cookie mixture. Stir until well-coated.
Press the chocolate cookie mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish to form an even layer.
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
Mix in the mint extract and milk to the cream cheese mixture until light and fluffy.
Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated.
Spread half of the cream cheese filling evenly over the chocolate cookie crust.
Drizzle half of the chocolate syrup over the cream cheese layer.
Add another layer of the remaining chocolate cookie crumbs, followed by the rest of the cream cheese filling and more chocolate syrup.
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
Before serving, garnish with chocolate shavings or chips, cut into squares, and serve chilled.
