  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Melted, serves as the binding agent.
  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar Packed, provides sweetness and depth of flavor.

Caramel Layer

  • 14 ounces Sweetened Condensed Milk Essential for creating the creamy caramel layer.

Chocolate Layer

  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips Melted, adds a luscious finish.

Optional Topping

  • 1 pinch Sea Salt Sprinkled on top to enhance flavors.

Instructions
 

  • Line an 8x8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Crush the pretzels into small pieces using a food processor or rolling pin.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and brown sugar. Stir until evenly coated.
  • Press the pretzel mixture firmly into the prepared baking pan.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sweetened condensed milk and remaining brown sugar. Stir until smooth and bubbling.
  • Pour the caramel over the pretzel base and spread evenly.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel layer and spread evenly. Sprinkle with sea salt if desired.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
  • Remove from the pan using parchment overhang and slice into bars.
  • Serve and enjoy!
