  • 2 tablespoons Cinnamon For flavor in the filling.

Glaze Ingredients

  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar For the glaze.
  • 2 tablespoons Milk To achieve glaze consistency.

Instructions

  • 1. Activate the yeast by combining warm milk and 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  • 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine remaining sugar, melted butter, and egg. Whisk until combined, then add the yeast mixture.
  • 3. Gradually add flour and salt, stirring until a shaggy dough forms. Adjust flour as needed.
  • 4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • 5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • 6. Prepare the filling by combining diced peaches, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  • 7. Roll out the dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  • 8. Spread the filling over the dough, leaving a small border. Roll tightly from the long side.
  • 9. Slice the log into 12 rolls and place in a greased baking dish.
  • 10. Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes until puffed.
  • 11. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  • 12. Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with enough milk for a smooth consistency.
