  • 4 medium Ripe Tomatoes Diced, vine-ripened for best flavor.
  • 1 small Red Onion Finely chopped.
  • 1-2 pieces Jalapeño Pepper Seeded and minced, adjust for heat preference.
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Cilantro Chopped leaves only.
  • 2 pieces Lime Juice Juice of 2 limes.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.

Instructions
 

  • Gather all ingredients and tools needed.
  • Rinse tomatoes, cut in half, remove seeds, and dice.
  • Peel and finely chop the red onion, add to the bowl.
  • Remove seeds from jalapeño, mince, and add to the bowl.
  • Chop cilantro leaves and mix into the bowl.
  • Squeeze lime juice over the mixture and add salt.
  • Gently fold all ingredients together without mashing the tomatoes.
  • Let the salsa sit for at least 15 minutes to meld flavors.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate for later use.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
